Judge Approves Settlement, Fees in Jander v. Retirement Plans Committee of IBM
Zamansky LLC is pleased to announce that after years of litigation, U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon of the Southern District of New York recently approved a $4.7 million settlement for the class of IBM workers in the case of Jander v. Retirement Plans Committee of IBM. Partner Samuel Bonderoff represented the workers in the lawsuit which was filed back in May 2015, claiming that the Retirement Plans Committee failed to protect the employees’ 401(k) bonus plan from the company’s inflated stock price. Our firm sought $1.4 million in fees, which the judge also approved. The opinion approving the settlement and fees will be released at a later date.
